Have you ever heard about this?

This is a competition opened for students of IHL in Malaysia, to research and use new technologies to develop real world solutions for mobile telecommunications. It has been jointly organized by MAXIS, Ministry of Information, communication and Culture (MICC) and MCMC since 2007.

Last year, 12 teams have been selected as finalists (among 140 teams who had participated). Out of these 12 teams, 2 of them were from our department. Impressive right?

Now, the competition is back, and their looking for challengers.

What is the Challenge?

This Challenge requires students currently enrolled in any Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs) in Malaysia to form teams comprising of two (2) members each (Team) and develop exciting and new mobile content (“Challenge”).

In the first phase of the Challenge, Teams are encouraged to explore all areas of mobile content development which includes content and applications, especially on latest technologies and platform.

Teams with the most innovative, marketable and commercially viable concepts for mobile content will be selected to proceed to the second developmental phase of the Challenge.

Teams’ limitations are only their own imagination!
