2243 - Group Project: Stage 2

KEEE2243: Group Project

Stage 2

Main Objective:

To design a circuit that is able to indicate temperature levels.

Problem:
A circuit that is able to show the temperature levels of human body is to be designed.
Basic circuit function:
Able to measure human body and indicates the temperature levels by using LEDs.
1. When the temperature is 37 o C, first LED will be on.
2. When the temperature is 38 o C, first LED will be off, and second LED will be on.
3. If the temperature is 39 o C and above, the first and second LED will be off and the third LED will be on. Besides that, a fan will also be on.

Job description for the second stage:
Each group must come out with a circuit. You may implement the circuit on a solderless breadboard (as shown) or any other suitable platforms (stripboard, PCB, etc. ). The circuit must be able to accomplish all the basic functions. You may add other extra functions in your design. Bonus marks will be given.

Besides the circuit, each group must also come out with a short report (maximum of 5 pages) describing how the circuit operates and the process involve in the circuit design. It must also discuss the points on how the circuit implementation and test were done. You may include these points in your report:
- Introduction
- Circuit operation and design
- Hardware implementation
- Hardware test results
- Cost
- Conclusion

Finally, design a marketing brochure for the circuit. Size of the brochure is A4. You may use both sides.

This is a self-sponsored project. Meaning, you have to use your own money. Total cost should not be too high, around RM 30-50.
